Our Story

Celestial Exotics LLC was co-founded in 2020 by Tyler and Maddie - an animal-loving duo in the Metro-Detroit area. United by a passion for animals and education, they met online through content creation in 2017.

Maddie has been keeping herps since she was a small child in 2004, and Tyler since 2012. Their reptile breeding adventure began in 2018 when they hatched their first crested geckos and instantly fell in love.

In 2020, following a diagnosis of post-covid Dysautonomia, Maddie decided to pour much of what she had into acquiring future breeding animals and formally began Celestial Exotics.

In 2021, they successfully reared their first US captive-bred and born abronia graminea litter from a pair acquired in 2017. In the years that followed, they continued to successfully reproduce abronia graminea, and plan to expand into other abronia species in the future.

• Electric Blue Day Gecko - Lygodactylus williamsi

• Scorpion Tailed Gecko - Pristurus carteri

• Polillo False Gecko - Psuedogekko smaragdinus

• Golden Tailed Gecko - Strophurus taenicauda

• South West Spiny Tailed Gecko - Strophurus spinigerus

• Spearpoint Leaf Tail Gecko - Uroplatus ebanaui

• Cork Bark Leaf Tail Gecko - Uroplatus pietschmanni

• Top Ender Ackie Monitors - Varanus acanthurus brachyurus

All adult breeding animals are kept in bioactive enclosures with access to UVB and/or full-spectrum lighting.

At this time, Celestial Exotics can be found monthly at the Cin City Reptile Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio as well as NARBC Schaumburg and Tinley Park (March and October). Local meetups are possible in the Detroit Metro or Cincinnati area, or ship within the lower 48 states/export when weather permits. Export to many countries is possible for non-CITES species only at this time. Export arrangements beyond the US must be arranged by the customer.
